BLOGGING THE GREATEST JOB IN THE WORLD

 blogging job

BLOGGING THE GREATEST JOB IN THE WORLD
Blogging has been here for years, and from the simple process of keeping an online journal, it has already evolved into a hybrid multifunctional practice.
Although there are some people who are giving the blogging industry a bad name (putting their primary interest on making money online instead of providing value to people), blogging is still one of the toughest and most celebrated jobs on the planet, especially if the person doing it (the blogger) do it the right way.
I am a blogger, and I’m honored to be one. The following are 12 reasons why I consider blogging as one of the greatest jobs in the world:

1. Bloggers have to face a battalion of competitors

There are hundreds of millions of blogs and hundred billion of blog posts in the world. WordPress.com blogs alone are almost 75 million – so think about the other blogging platforms like Blogger, Tumblr and self-hosted WordPress blogs. Even if a certain blogger will narrow his niche, he would still face a multitude of other competing blogs and blog posts. Thus, bloggers have to work hard, be patient, and be persistent to stand out from the crowd.

2. Bloggers are writers, editors and publishers in one

Lone bloggers do it all – researching, writing, editing and publishing. A blog post is not just a mere article. It is a content that pass through many processes. Hence, the creation of a single quality blog post takes a lot of time, effort ,and dedication. Every blogger starts as a single blogger, and they know how hard it is to finish a good blog post, not to mention some bloggers are doing this everyday.

3. Bloggers have to understand the tech stuff

Blogging involves technical works, such as website design and development. Bloggers should also understand how the Internet, the search engines, and the social media work. Moreover, they have to continuously battle online and technical threats, such as spamming, hacking, and phishing.

4. Bloggers do marketing

The job of bloggers doesn’t end after publishing a blog post. To ensure that their newly published content would reach to their target number of audience and compete with other contents on the same category, they have to implement Internet marketing strategies, such as search engine optimization (SEO), social media marketing, and paid online advertising. Aside from online marketing, they also implement offline and more personal marketing, such as relationship marketing and word-of-mouth marketing.

5. Bloggers do entrepreneurship

Most bloggers are people who have escaped the employment chain and take the risks to become self-employed and be their own boss. They pursue their passion despite of the financial risks they could face in leaving their daytime job. Just like other entrepreneurs, a number of bloggers start from a scratch and face the difficult challenges of making a great change in their lives.

6. Bloggers are doing business

Bloggers also have to make money with their blogs. They have to earn profit for living. Thus, they are doing business transactions, such as finding customers, providing services, selling their own products, promoting affiliate products, buying advertising, accounting, outsourcing services, and hiring a team to help them achieve their business goals. Some bloggers have already turned their blogs into successful companies, contributing significant taxes to the government and providing more jobs to the unemployed ones.

7. Bloggers do management

Bloggers have to manage a lot of things: processes, systems, tools, time, and people. They do the planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling. They also serve as bosses, whether they employ people or they are only the bosses of themselves.

8. Bloggers are artists

A blog needs to catch its audience’ eyes. Thus, bloggers have to come up with a great blog design. Every blog post also needs beautiful images and relevant videos. Hence, they often become photographers, graphic designers, and video producers. Furthermore, bloggers also need to have a great writing style to catch the attention of their readers.

9. Bloggers are scientists

Yes, bloggers become scientists too. They do a lot of experiments and test their hypothesis, especially when it comes to marketing. Bloggers have to gather raw data, such as the number of their blogs’ traffic, visitors’ demographics, audience engagement, and conversion rate to transform them into useful information. In other words, they become data scientists.

10. Bloggers teach a lot of people

Blogging is about delivering useful information using the Internet technology. Through this, bloggers are able to become teachers on their respective categories. And because blogs can be accessed worldwide, bloggers could become a teacher to millions of people. And yes! Most bloggers are teaching and sharing their own secrets for free.

11. Bloggers influence the world

Bloggers have been moving and shaking the world. They inspire people and even nations with their great influence on the Internet and social media. Whether they are political bloggers, business and finance bloggers, tech bloggers or lifestyle bloggers, their expertise, stories and opinions could have a big impact to many people (Check out the top 100 most influential blogs according to Technorati). You won’t only see bloggers on the Internet, you can also see successful bloggers featured on magazines and interviewed on TVs. Some bloggers have also become best-selling book authors and inspiring public speakers.

12. Bloggers have to maintain their integrity

Bloggers are public personalities. They have to earn enduring trust and confidence from their audience and from the society to make sure that their blog posts will be relied upon, their business will thrive, and their journey will continue. Thus, bloggers are bound by honesty, integrity, and excellence. They have to be professional and ethical. They have to continue developing themselves to provide better information everyday.

Final thoughts

There are people who may disagree on me, but blogging is one hell of a job. It’s not just a simple process of getting a blog, writing blog posts, promoting them to target audience, and waiting to make money online or to gain fame. Blogging is sharing information that could touch people’s lives and change the world. It’s one of the toughest jobs in the world. No wonder why many people who attempt to blog don’t succeed at all.

Samsung Gear 360 can own VR videos Passionately

Looking a little like something out of a Pixar movie, the splash-proof Samsung Gear 360 is a tiny, ball-shaped camera that fits in the palm of your hand. It’s similar to the 360Fly, but instead of just one lens, it has two.
Each aperture uses an ultra-wide fisheye lens with an f/2.0 aperture for capturing 360-degree video in low light. When you press of the record button on the dome of the camera, the two lenses start recording video with 195-degree angles.
After footage is exported wirelessly to a Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge phone, an accompanying camera app stitches the two videos together into a single 360-degree video. The app can also be used to edit and share the 360-degree footage to supported platforms like Facebook, YouTube, etc. Or it can be viewed inside of the Gear VR headset.

The 5.4-ounce camera is also able to capture 30-megapixel still photos and can record with only one of its lenses with a 180-degree field of view.
Videos are saved to a micro SD card (up to 128GB). There’s a universal tripod mount on the bottom of the camera and a swappable battery that Samsung says will last all day.
No word on how much the Gear 360 will cost or when it will be available, but we’re told it’ll be very competitive with existing 360-degree cameras. For reference, the 360Fly costs $400 and the Ricoh Theta S costs about $350.

FACTORS FUELING HEAVY DEMAND FOR INFORMATION

FACTORS FUELING HEAVY DEMAND FOR INFORMATION

Information is an assemblage of data that has been processed, has meaning, can be used to communicate and is usually recorded in a kind of media for purposes of dissemination. According to Wikipedia.org information is defined as a collection of related data that has been processed into a format that is understandable by its intended users.
Information has become a critical aspect of our lives and the society at large; therefore, each and every person must acquire information to make any substantial developments in their lives. This has provoked an urge to seek information in almost each and every person in the society today. This urge is driven by certain factors of our lives and some of them include:

1. Population increase:
It refers to the growth in number of people living in a given geographical area.
An increase in the number of people living in a given region directly translates to an increase in the number of people seeking for information.
This comes about due to several factors that emerge as a result of population increase; administrators of the population will develop information seeking behavior for the reasons of satisfying their people in their administrative roles. This may be in terms of food security, housing problems and congestion on social amenities. Ordinary people in society will also seek information to help them solve their personal problems that may include food scarcity, higher unemployment rates, increased insecurity, poor housing facilities among a host of many other problems. In the end, population increase drives people to start seeking information whereas the experienced information consumers will increase their demand for information to satisfy their increased demands for information.

2. Education:

According to Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary (7th ed., 2005) education, refers to the formal system of teaching training and learning especially in schools and colleges to improve knowledge and acquire skills. These knowledge and skills are considered fundamental in society and the well being of an individual.
In the teaching process, instructors require knowledge and information to prepare for their lessons and material for dissemination to their students.
Students also require information to expound on what they have been taught in class so as to expand their knowledge base. Students have also been noted to seek more information during examination periods so as to excel in evaluation of what they have learnt.
They also seek information when undertaking research projects e.g. when writing theses or dissertations for partial awarding their degrees. Faculty members are also constantly engaged in research with the purpose of expanding knowledge in their areas of specialization. All these requires for a constant demand for information.
Introduction of new curriculum and fields of knowledge in an education system would also call for one to get more information for purposes of remaining relevant and up to date the requirements of the new system.

It has also been noted that many a times, education stimulates curiosity in people and the urge to seek more information about a subject that he/she has been introduced to in class and finds it more interesting and worth spending more time to read and learn more about it. Furthermore, education increases literacy levels in the society. This also directly translates to more people in society seeking for information because literate people are better known to consume more information than the illiterate. In its entirety, education generates a great demand for information as the system is in itself dependent on dissemination and acquisition of information.

3. Emerging issues:

These refer to new developments and emergence of various aspects that draw a substantial amount of interest to people in society. This may also involve current affairs that draw a lot of interest from the public, for instance the publication of the draft constitution at the time of this writing has generated unprecedented interest and there are a lot of people currently who are seeking information about this document and its contents.
The emergence of diseases that have never ailed humanity in the past and other calamities is another factor that draws a lot of demand for information. For instance the occurrence of H1N1 (swine flu) and H5N1 (avian flu) sparked a lot of people both in the research field, doctors and even administrators to seek information concerning management and treatment of these new strains of flu. Occurrences of disasters like the Tsunami that rocked Asia and other parts of the world also sparked a lot of people into seeking information about mitigation of such events should they recur in future. From a general aspect, emerging issues are constantly generated in the society and therefore will continue to draw a lot of demand for information.

4. Technological advancements:

This refers to improvements experienced in the field of information technology such as advanced computer systems with superior capabilities that generate information in a timely and more effective way than previous systems.
The field of information technology is a very dynamic one. People in this field e.g. computer engineers and technicians constantly require information to find out what new developments have come about that can help them better render their services to people in other fields.
Technological advancements have also been accredited with improved systems of acquiring and disseminating information to people. Therefore, more people are able to access and disseminate information.
Information consumers are also faced with the need to acquire technical knowhow of using information technology systems as information is largely disseminated through these systems. For them to be able to use these systems effectively, they also need information on how to use and navigate their way around the digital environment. Similarly, information custodians will also need information concerning operation and usability of various systems for them to be well positioned to assist their clients during retrieval of information. The dynamic nature of the field of information technology is therefore an important contributor to a heavy demand for information as people from all walks of life are constantly exposed to new developments in the field every day.

5. Natural disasters and pandemics:

These are usually, uncontrollable natural occurrences that cause extensive destruction of both property and human lives. Some examples of natural disasters include hurricanes Katrina in places like New Orleans, San Francisco in the USA. This creates demand for information in the sense that people who are probable victims will seek to know when they are likely to strike so they can plan and stay when they are prepared to mitigate anticipated damage.
Droughts and long rain seasons e.g. Elnino rains too are a threat to the well being of humanity and therefore have also contributed to the demand for information. For instance, this is probably the reason why weather forecasters constantly analyze weather patterns and disseminate information concerning expected weathers patterns. In situations of drought and hunger information is sought by administrators to determine how many people and from which regions will require attention. People will also seek information concerning availability of food and how to have food security in future. All these factors combined will eventually lead to an increased demand for information because are constantly wary of natural disasters and pandemics and aiming to stay safe from them.

6. Religion:

It refers to the belief in the existence of a Supreme Being or beings and the practice of all that involve the worshiping of this Supreme Being. Religion is one other factor that creates demand for information in society. This is because people need reliable information that will enhance a better understanding of God and also help to strengthen their faith and beliefs. This helps to attain an inner satisfaction and a state of well being.
Some people also need information to defend their faith and beliefs. For instance, a Christian might need information and even quote from the Bible to drive a point home when trying to convince people concerning a certain claim. Similarly, a Muslim may quote the Quran to drive his point home. The great demand for information on religious matters is also supported by the fact that the Bible is the world’s most published and widely read book and has the least reprography restrictions. The fact that religious information is required by people from all walks of life and at all levels of development means that religious information is disseminated and consumed both in social and educational circles.

7. Administration:

It refers to the government system of exercising power over its subjects within a given geographical area.
Population increase and growth in complexity of the society brings about the need for administration.
It involves application of laws and regulations that determine how people co-exist peacefully with each other in society. Administrators require information concerning such facts as the number of people within their jurisdiction for better service delivery and planning for the people. This explains why the government of Kenya conducts a national census on a periodical basis of every 10 years to obtain the actual head count of its people.
The ordinary people also need information concerning the government’s policies and regulations some of which include taxation requirements or duties and responsibilities bestowed upon the citizenry by the government of the day.
Both administrators and their subjects are thus a major factor that contributes to the heavy demand for information as information is a primary requirement in their day to day endeavours.

5 C’s of Marketing

1. Customer Determine what are the needs and from which clients that you’re trying to satisfy. A few areas of research can be market segments, frequency of purchases, quantity of purchases, retail channel, and customer needs depending on trends over time.

2. Company – Determine if your company is in a position to meet those customer needs. For example, whether your company has the right product line and technical expertise. A good tool to find out your company’s strengths and weaknesses is “SWOT” analysis.
• Strengths: innovative products, expertise and procedures
• Weaknesses: lack of knowledgeable technical support or average product quality
• Opportunities: a new international market or a market led by a weak competitor
• Threats: a new competitor or price war

3. Competition – Determine who competes with your company in meeting the customer’s needs. Is the competitor an active competitor or is it a potential threat? What are their products exactly? What are their strengths and weaknesses?

4. Collaborators – Determine if there is any outside source or third party help that can help the company such as distributors, suppliers etc.

5. Context – Determine if there are any limitations due to
• Political issues: legal problems, trade regulations, taxes or labor laws
• Economic issues: growth rate, labor costs, and business cycle stage
• Social impacts: demographics, education, and culture
• Technological developments: impact on cost structures
This is also known as “PEST” analysis.

I URGE ALL MY FRIENDS TO READ & SHARE THIS; YOU COULD SAVE A LOVED ONES LIFE BY KNOWING THIS SIMPLE INFORMATION!!!

Stroke has a new indicator! They say if you forward this to ten people, you stand a chance of saving one life. Will you send this along? Blood Clots/Stroke - They Now Have a Fourth Indicator, the Tongue:
During a BBQ, a woman stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) ...she said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes.
They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Jane went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening.
Jane's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00 PM Jane passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Jane would be with us today. Some don't die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.
It only takes a minute to read this.
A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.
>>RECOGNIZING A STROKE<<

Thank God for the sense to remember the '3' steps, STR. Read and Learn!
Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.
Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:
S *Ask the individual to SMILE.
T *Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently)
(i.e. Chicken Soup)

R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.
If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency number immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.
New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your Tongue
NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue. If the tongue is
'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke.
A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.
I have done my part. Will you?

Bill Gates thanked all the candidates for coming and asking those who do not know JAVA programming to leave, 2000 people left. Njoroge said to himself, “I do not know JAVA, but I have nothing to lose if I stay. I’ll …give it a try’”
Bill Gates asked the candidates who never had experience of managing more than 100 people to leave, 2000 people left and Njoroge said to himself

EVERYONE ELSE HAS GONE.
Bill Gates joined them and said, “Apparently you are the only two candidates who have all the required qualifications & experience I am looking for and speak Serb-Croat, so I’d now like to hear you have a conversation together in that language. And……..”
Calmly, Njoroge turned to the other candidate and in a horse voice said ‘We mwega mundu wa nyumba? — How are you man from my house’
The other candidate answered softly but clearly saying ‘Gutiri na uru, no gwethera ciana mutu — All is well, just getting food for my children). . . !!”
